Baby Jesus Christmas Party to follow in Fitzgerald Hall

Bambinelli Sunday is a tradition that started in Rome with the Holy Father. Each year on the Third Sunday in Advent, the Holy Father invites children to bring the Bambinelli (Baby Jesus) from the family Nativity scene to Mass for a Blessing.

As is our Parish tradition we will be blessing the Bambinelli during the 10 o’ clock Mass

We invite Parish Families with children in pre-K – thru 3^rd grade to join us for the Baby Jesus Christmas Party after Mass... refreshments, crafts and more…

It's that time of the year!  Once again the children of St. Katherine of Siena Parish will be getting together and providing the music at the 4:00 p.m. Christmas Eve mass. 
Ms. Rebecca Lawrence will be following in her father’s footsteps and directing this year.

Practices are held:

Monday, December 2 – 5:00 – 6:00
Monday, December 9 - 5:00 - 6:00
Monday, December 16 - 5:00 - 6:00
Monday, December 23 - 5:00 - 6:00

All choir members should arrive at Fitzgerald Hall below
Church by 3:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve to set up and for rehearsal

SKS Trunk or Treat

• Car Decorating will take place between 1:15 and 2:00pm
• All participants must register and pick up bands at the registration table in front of Mc Bride Hall
• Trunk N’ Treating will begin at 2:30pm
• Best decorated car judging begins at 2:30pm
• Moon Bounce is located on the Parking Lot side of the Church
• Food, Balloon Sculpting DJ and Pumpkin Path located around the Holy Family Circle.
• Pumpkin Painting begins at 2:45
• Costume Parade begins at 3:20. Pre k and Below, K-3, 4 th and up. Prizes awarded to one boy and girl in each Category.
• Bathrooms are located in the Church Basement
• Thank You to Lava Landscaping for donating all our fabulous and fun fall decorations!!!!
• Haunted House begins after Trunk N’ Treat. Please enter Haunted House thru McBride Hall. Donations are gratefully accepted Thank you to the SKS Student Council for all of your hard work!

FRIENDS OF THE POOR WALK

Saturday, September 28, 2024

8:00 a.m. Mass (Attendance is Optional)

8:30 a.m. Walker Check-in at Fitzgerald Hall

9:00 a.m. Walk

Refreshments served in Fitzgerald Hall following the walk.

ALL ARE WELCOME!

Walk proceeds benefit our friends in need in Northeast Philadelphia.

Walk Course: The walk begins and ends at Fitzgerald Hall and includes a route of approximately 2 miles along Grant Avenue to and through Fluehr Park, or optional shorter course around parish campus.

Registration

Fee: $10.00 high school/college student rate (grade schoolers are free accompanied by parent), $20.00 per adult or $30.00 per family. Non-walker donations also welcomed. Includes the cost of an event t-shirt and a donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul  at St. Katherine of Siena. Make checks payable to “Society of Saint Vincent de Paul”

Event t-shirt guaranteed to walkers registered by September 15th .

Register in-person: Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be outside of Mass during the weekends of:

September 7th and 8th
September 14th and 15th
September 21st and 22nd

All candidates for Confirmation need to register for the parish's sacrament program.  Students presently enrolled in SKS School or PREP program are already registered.  Parishioners who are students attending Private Catholic,  Charter or Public Schools and are in the 7th grade or above who need to receive confirmation must register with Deacon Duffy; [email protected] in order to be eligible to receive the sacrament.
