St. Katherine of Siena Welcomes Fr. William Chiriaco
After three new priests were ordained on May 18, 2024 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez released the latest round of clergy assignments for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and St. Katherine of Siena will be welcoming a new clergy member beginning in June. Father William Chiriaco will be joining St. Katherine of Siena as a Parochial Vicar with the status of a Senior Priest.
If that name sounds familiar, it is because Fr. Chiriaco is no stranger to Northeast Philadelphia. Fr. Chiriaco grew up in St. Bernard's Parish and attended Father Judge High School. Fr. Chiriaco also served as pastor of St. Anselm Parish from 2015-2019.
Most of Fr. Chiriaco's priestly ministry has been spent in the Archdiocesan High Schools as a teacher and Campus Minister. Fr. Chiriaco currently serves as Campus Minister at Bishop Shanahan High School and is in residence at St. Agnes in West Chester. He is also serving as temporary administrator of St. Peter's Parish in West Brandywine.
Fr. Chiriaco's tenure at St. Katherine of Siena begins on June 17. Welcome, Fr. Chiriaco!
